This site is about the game of Go(also called Igo,Weichi or Baduk), a gate to the most amazing and limitless
world of The Game of Go.
Few words about me
My name is Daniel Cioata, 5 Dan EGF, I started to play Go in 1986, became shodan in 1989 and 5 Dan in 1994, member of Romanian National Team from 1996, cofounder of Saijo Go Association. Sometimes I play now but mostly bad :-), only in Romanian tournaments, my preferred online server is KGS.
History of this site
In 2003 I started a personal project, called ZGo, a java applet for replay the Go games stored in SGF format. In 2009 after a big redesing I wanted to create a small site to present my new toy to the Go community. Somehow I discovered Joomla CMS and things started to become mad,
PHP, MVC, JavaScript,JScript, mootools, jquerry, dojo, DOM, Ajax, CSS, SVG, HTML, Apache, MySQL, SQLITE, video streamming, mp3, Facebook Application API, joomla plugins, modules,components and the result is in front of your eyes :-).
