The winner of the tournament, Cornel Burzo, wrote :

I am happy to inform you that I managed to finish 1st in the qualifier tourney in Prague with 5 wins and 1 loss. This tourney was really tough, I started on 8th position according to rating and only lost in 2nd round to our current european champion Ilya Shikshin 7d but that game had many ups and downs on both sides but I finally messed up more in byo yomi, anyways it was great to beat Artem 7d but in that game I was pretty lucky to kill one of his groups in middle game and after that was hard for him to catch up... The European team (formed by 3 romanians and 1 russian ) for Sport Accord Games which will be held in Beijing in december will meet top players from china, korea, japan , usa and taiwan..such as Lee Sedol 9p, Choi Cheolhan 9p of Korea or Yamashita Keigo 9p of Japan and so on..is gonna be really tough but even if we lose all games there is a great opportunity to learn some real baduk from players who are title holders so I am really happy I qualified for such a great event.
